We played with balloons.

P1010007.JPG We spent a good 10 minutes blowing them up.

Josh feels lightheaded?

P1010012.JPG

We tried to keep all the balloons up in the air.

P1010013.JPG

Good for 15 minutes of entertainment.

P1010014.JPG

Even the advanced fencers helped.

P1010016.JPG

Later (not pictured), we popped the balloons against a fencing target with Josh's weapon.

Doc's unique teaching style.

After watching the balloons, refreshments, the "Sergei Golubitsky Golden Bouts" video, practical exam results, certificates, and general fun (not pictured) — we actually had to fence!

P1010022.JPG

Our last chance to look like a real Salle. By this point, the kids knew what to do. Everybody (almost) was fencing.

P1010023.JPG

Everybody had to fence two opponents. Nothing but the soothing sounds of clacking blades and arguments with the directors.

P1010030.JPG

Told them to look surprised.

P1010024.JPG

Needed pictures of a bending blade for some (upcoming) fencing illustrations.

Good point control! The writing on the target is instructions. This is one target from a series of "stations", and each station trains something new. The "station" concept overview is coming soon!

P1010028.JPG

The wire-thing is an experimental station that builds hand control and sentiment du fer, first of many different patterns. Add and remove the mask to train the hand to be firm, but still precise.

Vicki is a trooper, working through a debilitating toe injury.
