Salle
People have been asking what the nearly-finished fencing salle looks like. Here are some more recent pictures. More coming soon!

The front entrance. On hot days, we still open the garage door and let the air circulate.

This is from the opening. When we started the salle, Audrey (left) couldn't stand up. When we opened the salle, she was already fencing! She likes to chase people around with the foam swords.

The floor: Sanded with infinite care by Doc and Vicki; strips painted on with precision by Doc, Margurette, Bobby; polyeurethaned with
indifference.

Our inaugural tournament, late 2005. There is still a lot of clutter lying around, but most of this has been cleaned up.
|
|
We also now have permanent overhead reels. The overheads have some nice refinements over the usual overhead installations... we'll have some close-ups in the next album, for the armourers out there.

More fencing.

Moooore.

|
A pleasant fencing argument?
In the background is Part I of our wall of shame: Medals and Trophies our fencers have won.

|
In a rare moment of not doing construction on the building, Doc suits up to fence.

|
Overheads installed!
That big pink thing is the garage door — the insulation is cut to allow the door to raise. It will be covered by something less pinky later.

The lounge, and bathrooms/changing rooms. We're still sorting this area out, hence the clutter.
In the office, we have a right wonderful armoring table set up.
