Murray State University, Battle of the Blades 2003 Information
April 5th & 6th, 2003The Murray State University Fencing Club is presenting Battle of the Blades! The Murray State University Fencing Club invites you to take part in our annual tournament of the spring semester this April 5th and 6th at the South Gym on the campus of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Our tournament will consist of open competition in all three weapons – Foil, Epee, and Sabre as well as an open Women’s Foil event. An awards ceremony will follow the final event of each day and trophies and awards will be presented to fencers placing first through fourth. This event is USFA-sanctioned. In order to compete, a fencer must be a USFA member. USFA member application forms will be available at the tournament and the cost is $40. We ask that you submit your registration before March 15th although it is not required. Also, any fencers belonging to a USFA club from which 3 or more fencers pre-register (March 15th) will be eligible for a $5 discount on fees. All fees must be paid at time of registration. Please attach club materials together to be eligible for group discount. Make checks payable to Murray State University Fencing Club. Any competitors that can volunteer to assist in judging or directing bouts will be greatly appreciated. Enclosed in this packet is a schedule of information and registration form.
